Elder Samuel G Roberts Mission to Indiana Indianapolis 8/2021-8/2023

 Well this week was a good week, it was very slow but good nonetheless. There were a couple miracles and some good stories so here they are... Last P-day: We had district p day last pday and it was so awesome! We went to downtown Indy and went and visited the memorial there (it's like the only thing that's even remotely famous about Indiana) but it was super awesome! I even handed out a pass along card which was pretty dope! "What are yall doing over there?!?": On Tuesday we were once again doing our studies in the park....you can probably guess where this is going....but we saw this lady walking her dog and I yelled "hey how's it going?" You know like missionaries do and she was like "good! What're you guys doing over there?", Elder Cook was like "studying Scriptures! Wanna join!" And in response she says "I KNEW THATS WHAT YOU WERE DOING!! Let me finish my walk and I'll be right back!"....so being missionaries we a

 Well with this transfer coming to a close it also means my training is coming to a close...how do I feel about that? Pretty good, kinda nervous but it's chill   we got our transfer news this past Saturday and me and Elder Cook are staying together here in Avon for another transfer   anyways lots of good miracles this week so here they are: Every Time a Bell Rings: Last Monday after I'd set out my weekly email me and Elder Cook went to the store to do some p day shopping as you do when you're a missionary, but there was this dude outside ringing this bell and greeting people. Well we were walking in he shouted "Gentlemen" so we turned around and he was like "God is good!" And we were like "Heck yeah he is!" So we went in and started our shopping and we finished and on our way to our car we stopped and talked with this dude and he's actually related to a member and he said he really loved the church actually and we asked if we could talk to

  Ok this week was freaking amazing! I apologies in advance because this is going to be a long one because me and Elder Cook had some pretty awesome miracles!  The Exchange of All Exchanges:  Ok on Wednesday me and Elder Cook had exchanges with the ZLs, for those who don't know an exchange is just what it sounds like...you basically swap companions for a day, anyways this exchange was so awesome! I went with Elder Kynaston to Avon 2 and it was awesome!! We also had like a couple lessons and it was awesome! We talked about the restoration like one million times it was crazy! We talked with alot of people and found five new people who were interested in meeting with us again so that was awesome!! And over here in Avon 1 Elder Cook and Elder Black found four new people! Me and Elder Cook have been averaging like 1 or 2 people a week, so four in a day is so awesome!!  Well this week was good, a wee bit slow but its chill   we had a few good stories and miracles so I'll just cut to the chase and get to those, here they are: miracle in the park...: Ok so despite the cold me and Elder Cook decided just to do our studies at the park and we met this guy named Will and shot some hoops with him for a minute or two and talked with him about faith and Christ and stuff, he wasn't really interested in what we had to say but he talked to us at least so that's kinda cool!  The weirdest Bible bash of all time: On Wednesday we went and visited this lady name Kimberly who we had talked to before and holy moly was this a wonky time. We went over and started talking with her and her mom and Kimberly kept saying yeah I agree with you guys and then her mom would be like no Kimberly you don't because .... (fill in the blank) and then Kimberly would be like wait no way you believe that and we'd be like yeah we do actually and she'd be like what t

 This week has been really awesome! Me and Elder Cook have been grinding and have seen some pretty legendary miracles! It's also starting to get quite cold here in Indiana....it snowed yesterday which sucked.....but that being said you're regularly scheduled miracle in the park may not be so regularly scheduled  . Ummm...anyways here's the miracles and a few stories from this week Exchanges: On Tuesday we went on exchanges which was dope. I went with Elder Miravete to his area....which is a Spanish area   needless to say I don't speak Spanish. We went to a couple lessons and I kinda just sat there and nodded my head...I didn't contribute anything   but it was still really good! Elder Miravete is a absolute legend!  Zone Confrence: on Wednesday we had zone confrence which was awesome! The spirit was crazy...I'm finally beginning to understand the hymn "the Spirit of God" because holy moly it was defiantly burning. We talked a lot about faith and how it

  Ok this week has been really awesome! Elder Cook and my zone had what's called the Zone Game, which is just basically a competition between all the missionaries in the Zone to see who can do the most work. It was tons of fun! And me and Elder Cook got some good work done. But here's the main points of the Week: Seth update: Well so on Monday we had planned on meeting with him again but that day he sent us a message saying "I don't want to be a Mormon" and then popped off with a ton of Scriptures trying to prove why were wrong. So that was dope...but actually its ok we planted seeds I think at least. Spencer update: Spencer is doing awesome! We've had a comple lessons with him and he's just such an awesome guy! We have another lesson with him on Wednesday and I'm pretty excited! He's so awesome and I really do think he's ready we just gotta help him see that he is. Please keep Spencer in your prayers!  Well I guess there goes another week...crazy how fast time is flying. I left in August and now its almost Halloween...  Anyways things are going well I'd say. We did a lot of service and had a few miracles that were pretty chill but all in all a pretty good week! Here's the miracles from the week: Mondays lesson: So that lesson with the guy who came up to us in the park (seth) went pretty well. He had a ton of questions that I had no idea how to even begin to answer but Edler Cook was just like oh this is easy and answered every question and we have another lesson with him tonight so that's dope! Hopefully it keeps going well and keep sending those prayers!   Danville the place of many miracles: Ok so there were two pretty dope miracles that happened in Danville...First we were in a park (of course) and we were walking around and we saw this guy sitting on a bench, and let me tell you this man was the most yoked man I have ever seen.
