Well that escalated quickly--May 16, 2022

 Hey everybody! Hope you all are doing swell! This week was actually so awesome, probably one of the best I've had so far, it was supa crazy! Here's some of the major things:

MIRACLES:

The Schmidts:

Super awesome story, the Schmidts are a supa less active family that we reached out to a little while ago and set up a lesson with them. We visited them on Tuesday and they fed us pizza which was awesome and kinda a miracle in of its self BUT that's not the miracle . The miracle is that well we were talking with with they kinda told us kinda their background and stuff. They told us a little bit about why they didn't go to church as well, but kinda like outta nowhere brother Schmidts like almost crying and he's like "when can you come back because I need to know that I'm right with God and if I need to come back to church" so of course we set up a return appointment and were so excited to visit them again! Please be praying for them!!

Literally the Most Elect Person: (this one's long but so worth reading! It's probably one of the coolest miracles I've written about)

Elder Brimhall and I were out tracting some yellow souls, which basically means at some point they showed interest but never had a return appointment set up. So we went and tracted this one door of a guy named Jimmy and his Ex girlfriend who actually lives in the house answered. We asked if Jimmy was there and she said "nope he's actually on jail..." so we were like well "shoot that stinks, we were just coming over to share a message about Jesus Christ with him....do you think you'd be interested in hearing that" and she kinda was super hesitant at first but then was like "sure, it can't hurt." So she came out and we started teaching her and talking with her, she opened up like crazy to us and she's had a pretty rough past. We talked a lot about the atonement with her. Right before we left she was like "I don't know what it is but I feel so happy right now, like I always want to feel this way" . So we were like "well there's actually a way for you to do that and we told her about the gift of the Holy Ghost and she was like "yep, I want that" so we set up a return appointment with her for Saturday....we went over on Saturday and taught her the Gospel of Jesus Christ and when we got to talking about Baptism she was so excited that baptism could help her basically start new and she was like "yes I want to be baptised!!" So we invited her to pray about a date and we also invited her to church. She came!!!!! She loved it!!! And as she left she said "I can't wait to come back!" Please please please PRAY for Amber!!!!!!!

"Actually the Kids Want to do it Now":

This is a pretty cool miracles too! We went and visited a lady named Tabby who's kids are super interested in learning about Jesus and we haven't been able to meet with them yet so we went over Friday and it went a very similar way as before. Basically she was like "oh tonight's not gonna work let's reschedule for Tuesday" so we got the big sad  but as we left the papartment building she was in she came out on her balcony and was like "Wait actually they want to do it right now!" So we got to teach them! We taught the plan of salvation and all three of them seemed to really enjoy it and seemed very interested by it! We also gave them a book of Mormon and invited them to read it. Please pray for Tabby, Lucy, and Deven! 

STORIES:

Well That Escalated Quickly:

Hahaha kinda a funny story but basically Indiana weather is CRAZY!!!  The morning started out completely cloudless and super sunny and it looked like a beautiful day! We were like yes that's awesome! We were out doing typical missionary stuff and suddenly out of nowhere like a million clouds come and about ten minutes later there was the biggest (and I mean BIGGEST!!) rainstorm I've ever seen. Like the freaking water drops were like the size of a golf ball, no cap! It was pretty legendary but just goes to show you can never be to careful here in Indiana

Roxann: Roxann got covid this week so we weren't able to meet with her but hopefully tomorrow! Please keep praying for her! 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

The spiritual thought this week comes from a super awesome worldwide devotional from President Nelson last night. Presdient Nelson was talking about how as people we have a lot of labels but the three most important labels any of us can have are 1. We are children of God 2. We are children of the covenant and 3. We are disciples of Jesus Christ. I loved that so much because those three really are the most important things to know in this world especially that we are all literal children of God! So don't forget that!!!! 

All in all this week was pretty legendary! I love you all! Keep fighting the good fight! I'd love to hear from some of you! Sorry this one was quite long
