Thanksgiving Tomfoolery 🦧🦃 Mon, Nov 28, 2022

 Howdy howdy everybody, another epic week here in the great state of Indiana. Here's how things went 

MIRACLES/TMOTL:

Phil: 

We weren't out tracting on Saturday and found very little success  but well we were walking back to our car this was this dude that was outside doing some stuff in his car and so we stopped and talked to him for a little bit. As hoosiers tend to do he told us his whole life story which was actually awesome because it allowed us to share a lot of gospel principals with him and the spirit was actually super strong, it was totally epic!  He said he was going to go to church but unfortunately we didn't see him on Sunday  we did get his number though so we can keep in contact with him  please pray for Phil! 

STORY TIME:

Thanksgiving Tomfoolery :

Thanksgiving was super epic! We had dinner with two of the coolest families in the ward, the Sessions and the Jablonskis. They're seriously so epic, Elder Stevens was mad jealous  anyways it was a lot of fun and super good food! I'm not kidding when I say they had more pie then anyone should even look upon. They had a total of 14 pies...my favorite was the Pecan pie . All in all Thanksgiving was very good! 

UPDATES:

Mike: he's doing awesome! Continues to keep every commitment we extend him and he says he's wanting to come to church it'll just take some time before he's ready to! Please keep him in your prayers as well as his granddaughter Samantha! 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

This week spiritual thought comes from one of my favorite Scriptures in the Book of Mormon and that is Ether 12:4 and it says

4 Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith, maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.

I love this verse so much because in this crazy world its awesome having this promise that if we believe in God we can with surety hope for a better world. I also love how it talks about how that faith and hope can become an anchor to our souls. I want to invite you all to think about how your faith has been an anchor to your soul through trails or tribulations. I also would love to hear some of your answers as well
