Motes and beams--May 29, 2022

 Hello My dear son,

I am so proud of you and your hard work. Not very relieved that you have fixed your wheel and helmet though so please send pictures that has been done so I can rest more easily.

Been thinking about the story of the Mote and beams and how one of the things that we are commanded over and over to do in the scriptures is to repent and one of the things we are commanded not to do is to judge others.   Thinking about how looking for others' motes is a judgement place and we are looking for what they are doing wrong and by nature it makes us blind to our own repentance. We cannot see what we are needing to change and do differently.

We had an awesome Sacrament meeting. Dawn Wells and Camille Bell both spoke about Family History and I was inspired to start up again. I have really falled down since covid shut down the temples and made it harder to get the work done. So I was glad to be inspired

Andrew goes to FSY tomorrow at 10am and will be there all week until Friday.

Emily and I have been walking the dogs each evening and it has been awesome.  She has started playing the cello again and I love it so much. I really love my home being filled with beautiful music.

Rachel is doing well in school and was excited when I told her you were going to reach out and visit with her. I hope you will do that.  She would love to hear from you.

Adam is working really hard this summer. He has jobs and internships and all kinds of things going to help him get into Vet school. I am so proud of his hard work and constant striving to overcome the obstacles in his way.  His puppies are the funniest. So full of energy and trouble.
He has 2 now. I think you know that? One is Timpanogos, he is the boy and the wiggliest wild man you ever saw.  All over the place and just full of energy. Juniper is the girl and she gets in trouble just in more subtle ways, she likes to let him take the punishment but come a long behind and get in trouble too.  So funny. They hope to breed them for puppies in 2 years.

Matt and Hannah put money down on a house in Austin and they are so very excited.  They hope to have the home built and be able to move in in Dec. Which would be so awesome.  They told me the name of the city ( a suburb of Austin ) but I can 't remember the name

Paul and Sarah are recovering from his time in grad school and enjoying just having an 8-10 hour day and then being able to be a family. I will send pictures of Addie and Mary sitting together watching Bluey-- Oh my heart I love those little girls.

Joe and Brooke got home from Europe today and I was relieved they are home.  They have been traveling for about 22 hours so exhausted.

Dad and I are doing well.  He has a procedure this week to have his back pain improved, we hope. That is on Thursday and we hope it will help him have more mobility and less pain. It is hard to see him hurting.

We love you and look forward to having a lesson with you tomorrow.  Let me know what time will work and if you want us to come prepared some how.

Love you forever and ever

Mom
