Lunch with the mission president part 2 and fishing with Forest Gump 😎🧗‍♂️🎣Mon, Oct 24, 2022

 Welcome back everyone if you've stuck around for this long congrats because there's been almost 60 of these so good job if you've read them all, if you haven't I honestly wouldn't blame you  anyways here's some stuff from the week!

MIRACLES/TMOTLs:

Super Epic TMOTL and Elect Dude:

We were out tracting doing our pretty typical thing. We had knocked a couple of doors and got some pretty typical responses of "oh not now", "not intrested", or "........" (those are the people who don't answer ). Anyways this is how things were going until we knocked on Mike's door. Mike is a super cool dude! We knocked on his door and he immediately came out and started talking with us. He's an older fella and had, had a stroke a few years back and still has some physical problems from that so we started talking to him about the resurrection and how one day we would all have perfect bodies and he seemed to like that idea which was epic! We then transitioned from that to teaching about the restoration and about how we have a Prophet on the earth and about Joseph Smith. It was super epic! We gave him a copy of the BoM and he seemed very happy to take it and he said he was going to make sure to do his homework before we come over again on Sunday! Super awesome and exciting! 

Park Miracles in Subartic Weather Are Back :

So this one is pretty dope because it worked out pretty dang perfectly. We were literally only at this park for like 10 minutes tops, why where we there? We were waiting for a member who was going to pick us up and go out with us. In those short ten minutes that we were there, a guy name Pat was out walking his dog named Lucky. Don't know why but Dogs really seem to like us missionaries.... so this dog immediately comes over to us and we start talking with Pat about different things and then we started talking about the Book of Mormon and it was awesome because he very much wanted a copy and when we gave it to him he said "I'm going to take this and just soak it all in and then believe" and we were like "what?!?! But yes please do that" unfortunately we didn't get a correct number but he does have a pass along card so please please please pray that Pat will reach out!!!!

UPDATES:

Cynario: She's honestly not doing to good, we plan on taking her off date and really focusing a ton on her coming to church because she still hasn't been. So please pray for her! She's been pretty flanky recently as well so things aren't looking to good lately.

Jason: pretty much same old same old here. Just keep him in your prayers 

FUN STORIES:

Lunch With the Mission President :

That is correct I have done it again  we had interviews on Thursday and because our distirct is all the way up in Terre Haute (an hour and a half away/a ton of miles) we hitched a ride with the Ridings again! And they once again took us to lunch as well  it was a super epic lunch and drive up there because they're super awesome people!

Fishing With Forest Gump :

Today me and Elder Groesbeck along with the Clearcreek elders and Martinsville elders are heading over to go fishing with Forest Gump (Sammy Lee Davis) if you've read Elder Stevens emails you know what I'm talking about, if you haven't then I'm sure you're super lost and I'm going to keep it that way....

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

The spiritual thought for this week comes from mine and President Ridings interview were we talked about just how crazy it is with everything that has happened that I just so happened to end up here in Indiana, not only that but in Bloomington Indiana, and not only that but it just so happens that Elder Stevens is also out here...and was in Bloomington Indiana. Its just so amazing that God is truly in the details of our lives and knows exactly where we need to be and that revelation is real!! My invitation for you all this week is to look for God's hand in the details! I can promise as you do you will see Him in every aspect of life and you will feel his love for you in greater and greater abundance.
