Good to be back amongst the Hoosiers🤠-- Aug 8, 2022

 Henlo everyone well after a week at home I'm back and feeling pretty good about it. I love Indiana! I've only been back sense Thursday so not too much to write about but here's some stuff from the past few days.


MIRACLES/TENDER MERCIES:

Trio life part dos 😎:
Well when I flew in on Thursday it was pretty much awesome. I flew in got my bags and then about ten minutes later sister Riding finally found me (I guess I'm pretty sneaky 😂🤷‍♂️) but she was like "guess what Elder Stevens is coming to get you" and I was like "cool and good" so yeah Benny (Elder Stevens) roles up and we get on our way and I got to spend another day with the legends themselves, Elder Stevens and Elder Call! We even found a pretty legendary guy named Smiley, and boy does he live up to his name 😂 he's one of the most, if not the most, energetic men I've ever met. He's a legend and he's insane at ping pong....like how can one man be this good 😂😂 

UPDATES: 

Amber: Amber is going through a lot right now please add her to your prayers she's going to need them!! 

Roxann: Sounds like while I've been gone Roxann has kinda become a ghost and we haven't been able to get in contact with her 🙁 

Espanol Amigos: They're all doing super awesome! Just yesterday we put one of them on date! His name is Franklin, please add him to your prayers!!!!

Jasmine: still trying to get her to church

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:

This week spiritual thought comes from the story of Job. Who is Job? Well he was a pretty righteous dude..."There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil" (Job 1:1). Despite being "perfect" Job had some pretty tough trials. Like literally all the trials. But he always kept his faith and never faltered. Job is an amazing example of enduring trails well and by the end he actually talks with God. So this week my invitation to you all is to look at a trial you are going through and find one thing you are learning because of it. 

Well that's all for this week (4 days) it's good to be back here in the Hoosier state. I would love to hear from some of you as well! Love you all and remember I'm cheering for you all! Keep fighting the good fight!

 That's right folks, only four days left till I enter the field and I couldn't be more pumped. I am gonna miss my freaking awesome district though, no cap. but there's actually a few stories from this week so buckle up folks this email might be the longest one yet, a whole two paragraphs. Kickball: On Friday we played kickball with another district who was in our residency building just across the hall from us and it was tons of fun, but we lost miserably by like fifteen points. But I still had tons of fun. After the game the Elders from the district we played with came to give us a box of donuts to say sorry for absolutely destroying you, and in the box there was a single, solitary "L" shaped donut, it was a very well done prank. District scripture share: Saturday we got together as a district and shared our favorite scriptures and everyone shared really awesome scriptures that definitely made me feel the spirit. Miracle Muncie Baby!!

  Henlo everyone this week was pretty cool and Good I'd say. We had some pretty dope miracles met with most of our friends, planning on putting some people on date this next week...so like things are on the up and up over here! Here's some stuff MIRACLES: First Floor Last Door: We went knocking right before a lesson at this one apartment complex that was really close to the lesson and holy smokes   so we were knocking and kinda had a rough start but we knock on this one guys door, his name is Terry. We asked if he'd wanna hear a message and he was like "sure" so like usual we checked to see if we heard him right and then taught the restoration to him, gave him a Book of Mormon, asked if we could come back and he said yes. So were going back on Saturday! First p day

Hey everyone well it's only been three days but it feels like a lot has happened in just those three days, I met my district and comp and they're all really awesome people! My companion is Elder Kennedy and he is super chill. I can't wait to meet everyone in person though when I go to the Provo MTC this Wednesday, because right now it still feels kind of weird being at home even though I've been set apart as a missionary, I don't know quite how to explain it but it feels very surreal. Monday it felt like I was almost dreaming, because I've been anxiously waiting for this day to finally come for like a long time and now that it's here it feels so weird.  I know God loves you all and that He can help us through any trials we're facing, he's helped me a lot adjusting to missionary life! I invite you all to read D&C 121: 7-8 because they are really awesome verses that have helped me a ton this week. Anyways love you all.  -Elder Roberts
