Bloomington--Sep 5, 2022

 Oh hey there, how's it going? Hope you are all doing well πŸ™‚ this week was pretty good, so here it is πŸ€“

MIRACLES/TENDER MERCIES:

"Do you have a Book of Mormon": 
On Tuesday we went to visit our friend Bunny who's a recent convert. She's super chill but while we were locking up our bikes this lady, (bunny's neighbor), Michelle came up to us and was like "Hey, do you have a Book of Mormon?" Being unprepared we did not....πŸ˜₯😫 BUT that allowed us to get her contact information and go visit her the next day and teach her about the BoM. She's a super awesome lady and sounds like Bunny was doing some missionary work which is why Michelle even asked for a BoM πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

A Whole Lot o' Biking:
On Wednesday we did a whole lot of biking, like 20-30 miles. Up hill....Down hill...all the terrain you could think. It was a lot of fun honestly! But there was a few moments were I was like "poop this is pretty tough" but I swear I could feel Mikey helping me out so that was kinda cool πŸ˜Ž 

Chapel on 2nd:
Kinda cool but the church building right next to our apartment is actually the same building Mikey woulda attended when he was serving here in Bloomington. On Saturday I was able to go inside it and it was really cool, kinda felt like Mikey was there so it was pretty cool! A very big tender mercy πŸ˜Š

UPDATES:

Bunny:
Bunny is good she loves the church so much and it's awesome!

Sam:
Sam came to church yesterday!! She hasn't been for almost three months so it was so awesome seeing here there!! She also got a calling which was super legendary! Oh she's also one of the recent converts that my boy Elder Stevens taught. 

Cynario: 
Still haven't met her πŸ˜” she's getting her wisdom teeth out soon so that's cool πŸ˜Ž not really at all so please keep her in your prayers!! 

Monā: 
Unfortunately we weren't able to meet with her this week πŸ˜”

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
Today's spiritual thought is more just an invitation and its something my Presidnet invited us all to do this past Zone Confrence and it's this, I want to invite you all everyday this week to pray to know just one person you can help serve that day. Its amazing how the spirit really can work to help you know who it is you need to help and how. It would be aweosme to hear back from some of you next week as well on how it goes πŸ˜

 That's right folks, only four days left till I enter the field and I couldn't be more pumped. I am gonna miss my freaking awesome district though, no cap. but there's actually a few stories from this week so buckle up folks this email might be the longest one yet, a whole two paragraphs. Kickball: On Friday we played kickball with another district who was in our residency building just across the hall from us and it was tons of fun, but we lost miserably by like fifteen points. But I still had tons of fun. After the game the Elders from the district we played with came to give us a box of donuts to say sorry for absolutely destroying you, and in the box there was a single, solitary "L" shaped donut, it was a very well done prank. Miracle Muncie Baby!!

  Henlo everyone this week was pretty cool and Good I'd say. We had some pretty dope miracles met with most of our friends, planning on putting some people on date this next week...so like things are on the up and up over here! Here's some stuff MIRACLES: First Floor Last Door: We went knocking right before a lesson at this one apartment complex that was really close to the lesson and holy smokes   so we were knocking and kinda had a rough start but we knock on this one guys door, his name is Terry. We asked if he'd wanna hear a message and he was like "sure" so like usual we checked to see if we heard him right and then taught the restoration to him, gave him a Book of Mormon, asked if we could come back and he said yes. So were going back on Saturday! First p day

Hey everyone well it's only been three days but it feels like a lot has happened in just those three days, I met my district and comp and they're all really awesome people! My companion is Elder Kennedy and he is super chill. I can't wait to meet everyone in person though when I go to the Provo MTC this Wednesday, because right now it still feels kind of weird being at home even though I've been set apart as a missionary, I don't know quite how to explain it but it feels very surreal. Monday it felt like I was almost dreaming, because I've been anxiously waiting for this day to finally come for like a long time and now that it's here it feels so weird.  I know God loves you all and that He can help us through any trials we're facing, he's helped me a lot adjusting to missionary life! I invite you all to read D&C 121: 7-8 because they are really awesome verses that have helped me a ton this week. Anyways love you all.  -Elder Roberts
