Being a dad is cool 😎 Mon, Nov 21, 2022

 This week has been kinda legendary. Also I can confirm being a dad is pretty dope, my son Elder Johnston is a total legend! He's from Roosevelt Utah, where ever the heck that is  he says its by Vernal (where ever the heck that is ). He's pretty cool tho, he plays the French horn, trumpet, and trombone and kinda reminds me of a mellow Elder Stevens so like kinda cool . Anyways here's some of the highlights of the week for you all  

MIRACLES/TMOTL:

Finding the Lost Sheep:

On Wednesday we did some door knocking so I could show Elder Johnston the robes and it was awesome the first door I had Elder Johnston do a lady answered and was way down to meet. She mentioned how she was actually a baptised member from the Dominican Rebuplic. She apparently had lost touch with the church for a time due go covid and some other stuff that happened but she said she was very open to coming back and having us over and stuff, so like super awesome first experience for knocking for Elder Johnston! Oh by the way her name is Marley so please pray for her 

Mall TMOTL:

By our apartment there's a mall called the college mall and because its averaging like 20° outside we do our studies and stuff there a lot and a cool thingy happened. We were sitting there doing our Weekly Planning  and this dude walks up to us and is like "go hoosiers" and we're like "haha yessir" so he asked if we were IU students so we explained to him that we were actually missionaries. Which lead us to teaching him about the restoration and giving him a Book of Mormon. Something that was just super awesome was when we shared the first vision with him this dude broke down crying and that doesn't happen to often so like it was just super cool! 

The Spirit Works Even Over Text:

We texted one of our friends named Amber to confirm a lesson with her for today. When she responded she didn't sound to sure about it so we just straight up asked if she would still be intrested and she said she wasn't sure....so we asked her if she'd want to learn more about how God has called a prophet on the earth and she gave us a very solid yes. So we said welp can we come by then and share that with you? And she gave a solid yes!!! So like the Spirit works even over text 

UPDATES:

Mike: Ok we had a fire lesson with Mike yesterday! We talked with him about the Body of Christ and how every person was important and vital to the whole. We then transitioned this to "will you come to church next Sunday" and he said yes! We had a member there with us so they're planning on giving him a ride and stuff so like just all around super awesome! Please keep Mike in your prayers 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT: 

This week's spiritual thought is going to be about Thanksgiving because somehow that's in like 3 days . If you ever heard the phrase "Gratitude is the best attitude" and your anything like me, you probably just kinda said "yeah ok I don't care." But like that statement is so true!! Gratitude can make any situation better! Just simply the act of being thankful for the blessings we have can make every dark situation a little bit lighter. Does it make life easy? No, no it does not. Does it make life easier? Yes, yes it does!! So my invitation for you all this week is the be like Nephi and look for the tender mercies of the Lord and not like Laman and Lemuel and look for things to murmur about. I promise as you do you will truly come to understand just how blessed you really are and just how much out Savior loves you!
