39 Weeks, 6 Transfers, and the Golden Referral--May 30, 2022

Hey there everybody! Hope you're all doing good! My week was pretty good, we're still just grinding up here and its pretty much awesome! We got our transfer news this week and I'm staying here in Angola for another one! I'm also staying with Elder Brimhall, so it'll be legendary! Here's the stuff


MIRACLES:

Golden Question Leads to Golden Referall:
Just as some context the "Golden Question" is basically "who do you know that might be interested?" Now on to the story! We called this one yellow soul and they answered which was great! We explained why we were calling and she was like "ummmm no..." so we asked her the Golden Question and she was like "well actually my sister could use a message" so we got her sisters phone number and stuff. We then called her up and she was like "wow this is like a sign from God, I really need this. Can you call me back tomorrow?" So we called her back Sunday and taught her the Plan of Salvation and she loved it, she has a goal of being sealed to her family so that's pretty legendary! She lives in Fort Wayne so we also referred her to the Elders down there. But she's awesome so please be praying for Marissa!! 

High School Spanish Coming in Clutch:
Basically there's a lot of Spanish people here in Angola which is really strange honestly but we've been talking to a whole bunch and basically all I know is how to introduce us and then ask if they'd want to hear a message and that'd about it...but we've actually got most their numbers so it's pretty legendary! Please be praying that me and Elder Brimhall can be granted some extent of the gift of tongues 😎😁

UPDATES:

Roxann: She's doing great, she's been off coffee for the past two weeks and is willing to stay off and use some coffee substitutes so that's cool.

Amber: She's great! Literally just loves church so much! We went and taught her the W.o.W last week and she was like "I can't drink tea?!?! Yeah ok I can do that" so she's a freaking baller dude! Keep praying for her! She's doing great!

Amanda: we met Amanda just last week and she's awesome! She wants to be baptised and also wants to come to church! She loves the idea of a modern day Prophets and just loves everything we've talked to her about so far! Please pray for Amanda!! 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT:
This week I want to talk about step five in President Nelsons five steps to increase spiritual momentum and that is "seek and expect miralces." If it hasn't been made clear by my emails I have definitely had my testimony in miracles strengthend like one million! Miracles are real and when we go seeking for them they will come! Faith is expecting the miracles to happen because you know all things are possible through God! So my invitation this week is first think about the past couple weeks and see if you've seen any miracles (write them down!) And second expect miracles to happen this week! I can promise as you do you will see the miracles begin to bore out!

 That's right folks, only four days left till I enter the field and I couldn't be more pumped. I am gonna miss my freaking awesome district though, no cap. but there's actually a few stories from this week so buckle up folks this email might be the longest one yet, a whole two paragraphs. Kickball: On Friday we played kickball with another district who was in our residency building just across the hall from us and it was tons of fun, but we lost miserably by like fifteen points. But I still had tons of fun. After the game the Elders from the district we played with came to give us a box of donuts to say sorry for absolutely destroying you, and in the box there was a single, solitary "L" shaped donut, it was a very well done prank. Miracle Muncie Baby!!

  Henlo everyone this week was pretty cool and Good I'd say. We had some pretty dope miracles met with most of our friends, planning on putting some people on date this next week...so like things are on the up and up over here! Here's some stuff MIRACLES: First Floor Last Door: We went knocking right before a lesson at this one apartment complex that was really close to the lesson and holy smokes   so we were knocking and kinda had a rough start but we knock on this one guys door, his name is Terry. We asked if he'd wanna hear a message and he was like "sure" so like usual we checked to see if we heard him right and then taught the restoration to him, gave him a Book of Mormon, asked if we could come back and he said yes. So were going back on Saturday! First p day

Hey everyone well it's only been three days but it feels like a lot has happened in just those three days, I met my district and comp and they're all really awesome people! My companion is Elder Kennedy and he is super chill. I can't wait to meet everyone in person though when I go to the Provo MTC this Wednesday, because right now it still feels kind of weird being at home even though I've been set apart as a missionary, I don't know quite how to explain it but it feels very surreal. Monday it felt like I was almost dreaming, because I've been anxiously waiting for this day to finally come for like a long time and now that it's here it feels so weird.  I know God loves you all and that He can help us through any trials we're facing, he's helped me a lot adjusting to missionary life!
