Elder Valentine Arrives

 Well this week was really good, we finally transfered on Tuesday and it was pretty sad to say goodbye to Elder Cook but Elder Valentine is pretty dope! We saw some pretty good miracles! Had one of the most fire lessons like sheeeeeesh the spirit was just exploding out of us it was so awesome! Anyways here's some stories, miracles, and updates! 

MIRACLES:

Fire Lesson:

Well it was pretty awesome we went to go visit this guy named Mike who me and Elder Cook had run into two or so weeks ago, so we went and knocked on his door and he answered! He told us his kids actually weren't home but he told us to come back later that afternoon and we were like "ok bet!" So we went back a little later and Mike and his son came out and we started talking about the Restoration with them and holy smokes the spirit was so present! I actually felt like the words were just coming to me and I could tell they were feeling the spirit like nobodies buisness! It was so amazing! We then asked if we could come back and Mike looked yo his son and asked him and his son was like "yeah, I don't mind" so were going back on Friday, I'm seriously so excited! Please Keep them in your prayers! 

STORIES: 

Crazy Snow Storm: 

On Thursday we had a pretty good amount of snow it was pretty awesome! It snowed all day! But before it started snowing we got some Freezing rain and if you don't know what that is, basically it's the worst  what happens is that it's cold/warm enough that it's raining but as soon as the rain hits just about anything it immediately feezes so basically everything gets a nice layer of solid ice on it, so you can probably imagine driving isn't the safest thing when it does that  anyways it was crazy lots of snow and lots of ice, it was pretty awesome! Also Indiana SUCKS at snow removal, the roads where still pretty bad for like three days after the storm 

UPDATES:

Theresa: 

Theresa is doing so good! We haven't been able to meet with her for a little while because of the Covid but she's be reading in the BoM and we planning on going over to see her tomorrow! Please keep her in your prayers!

Mildred and Jaime:

They're doing good, we asked if they'd pray about a date and they said they would! They haven't yet but still exciting! Hopefully we can keep helping them get to that point

Robert:

Robert is doing really good! He absolutely loves the Book of Mormon but getting him to church has been really hard so if you guys could pray that maybe he can find some desire to come that'd be so awesome!!

Susan:

Susan is doing well! She told us last time we went over that she wants to first go back to her church to see if the feelings that she remembers being there as a kid are still there and then come to our church and compare the feelings which is actually really awesome! Please be praying for her she's having some health issues lately and can use all the prayers she can get!! She has a mega desire to learn which is so awesome! 

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT: 

This week's spiritual thought comes from 1 Nephi 6:6 which is Nephi talking about the Book of Mormon and a commandment he will give to his seed and it says "Wherefore, I shall give commandment unto my seed, that they shall not occupy these plates with things which are not of worth unto the children of men." I love this verses so much because to me it means that EVERY word in the Book of Mormon is of worth to us! There is no part of the Book of Mormon that is not of worth to us so please please read it!! It will help bring you so much peace and I can promise that it will can begin to effect your life in every aspect whether it be spiritual, or school, or work! The Book of Mormon can and will change your life! I promise you all that if you'll read even just a verse a day you will have an extra measure of the spirit with you at all times and the weights of life will not feel has heavy and they will become light and you will be able to bare them! Please read this amazing book!
