Craziest Week of My Entire Life

Yo what's up everyone? This week was freaking insane and just flew by! This email might be a little longer then normal, so don't blame you if you don't read it all ðŸ˜‚ I'll try to keep it not to terribly long. But anyways here's some of the crazy stories and crazy miracles and some updates on our friends:

MIRACLES:
P-day Miracles:
Last Monday me and Elder Cook went and helped one of the ward members neighbors. We were just removing some wood from his yard and the neighbor, Rick, was there helping and we started talking with him just about normal stuff and then he asked us "what church our you from?" We told him and he stopped in his tracks and said "you know as a kid I would see commercials for that church...I didn't think it was a real church" and so we kinda told him about that. We served for about 2 hours hauling wood and it was super awesome! We also got Rick's Facebook and later messaged him thanking him for letting us come help and he also asked what time our service was and we told him and it was super awesome because we hadn't even mentioned coming to church or anything and he just asked when the service was so it was awesome. We didn't see him this past week but hopefully this week!! Please send some prayers!

Book of Mormon Referral:
On Tuesday we went and visited a lady named Theresa who is a roomate with a member named Patti, and apparently Patti has been talking to Theresa about the BoM and some other stuff and Theresa has been reading in the BoM using the online version but she had sent a request to try and get a hard copy of the BoM so we set up a lesson with them and so on Tuesday we went and visited them. It was a really good lesson! And Theresa was saying that she prefers hard copy books rather then ebooks which is what she has been using to read the Book of Mormon...but we pulled out a hard copy of the BoM and she got so happy! I haven't seen anyone be that happy to take a BoM it was so awesome! We're gonna meet with her again tomorrow and I'm really excited! Please send some prayers for Theresa as well!!

CRAZIEST PARK MIRACLE EVER!!!!:
On Wednesday we were at the park and it was mega cold but we were doing our planning and there was this lady who was with her dog, and Elder Cook asked if he could throw the dogs stick and she was like "oh yeah of course!" So we went over and started throwing the dog stick and talking with this lady, on a side note this dogs stick was so slobbery it was horrendous! Anyways we were talking with this lady and I can't exactly remember how it came up but she said "I believe very differently about the soul then most people, I believe that our souls have always existed even before we were here on earth" and well that allowed us to tell her about the premortal existence and she also mentioned how she believes in eternal families! So it was just so awesome! We also invited her to church and she said she'd be there AND SHE CAME!!! And she said she loved it and was planning on coming back next week! So please send all the prayers for Carrie!!!

CRAZY STORIES:
Feroze and the Prestwick Country Club:
On Wednesday we went and tried to visit our friend Spencer but he didn't answer so that was a bummer, BUT we went and visited a guy named Feroze who lived next to Spencer because a ward member said we should. So we went and knocked on his door and his wife answered recognised who we were and just said "oh let me call my husband" so she calls her husband and tells him "the Mormons are here" and he asks "how do I know them" and we tried to explain how we knew him to his wife but after a minute or two she just gave us the phone and we talked to Feroze over the phone and he tells us "meet me at the Prestwick Country club at 7" and we were just like "oh umm ok then" so we kinda went about our day meeting Carrie and having a lesson with Robert....and then 7 rolled around and we went to the Prestwick Counrty club and we met Feroze there and we go in and he kinda starts bossing people around and turning on lights and stuff and we're both just kinda sitting there not really knowing what's happening but turns out the man owns the place...😂 and we got food there and it was pretty good and Feroze is such an awesome guy and he was telling us about how much he loves members of our church because we're so honest and good to our word. He knows a ton of members so that was pretty awesome! It was a crazy Wednesday!

UPDATES:
Robert Update:
Robert is doing good we've been meeting with him every Wednesday probably sense the beginning of this transfer, and he's been reading in the BoM and really loves it! Which is awesome! He told us that he didn't really want to be a "mormon" and we asked why and he kinda just said he was comfortable with his church and it'd just take some getting used to before he wanted to be a member so that's pretty doable. We've been trying to invite him to church but he hasn't come yet but hopefully this next week! Please send some prayers!

Mildred Update:
Mildred is doing really good! We've been meeting with her every week sense the beginning of the transfer as well and she's been doing really good! She's come to church a couple times but hasn't been for a while. Please send prayers for both her and her son Jaime!

SPIRTUAL THOUGHT OF THE WEEK:
"The Book of Mormon provides spiritual nutrition, prescribes a plan of action, and connects us with the Holy Spirit" (April 2020, The Power of the Book of Mormon in Conversion).
While I've been out I've fully realised just how important and amazing the Book of Mormon is! It's just so amazing and truly provides so much peace to my life and I know it can do the same for each of your lives! If you aren't reading it everyday please do!! I promise as you do you will find an extra measure of peace and hope in your lives!

Anyways that's all for this week! It was a crazy good week, thank you all so much for your prayers and support! Keep killing it! I'm cheering you all on!! Love you all!

-Elder Roberts
