Covid Scare and Some Miracles

This week was really good, it started out a little rocky when we found out that a missionary in our district got Covid, and we had all been around him 😬 so we thought we were gonna have to quarantine but because nether me or Elder Cook has any symptoms we didn't have to but we were told to wear masks whenever we were in public. We also got tested and we were both negative 🥳 so we didn't have to quarantine which was good! Anyways here's the miracles for the week:

Park Miracle in the Cold:
Well we were at a park and there was this guy named Mickey who we stopped and talked to and he was super kind and he was actually going through some stuff that he's been struggling with lately, and we started talking to him about how much the Gospel can bless him. He seemed pretty interested and we got his number and he said he'd be down to meet again.

Come Rain or Shine:
On Saturday it was raining like mad! Literally raining cats and dogs, like it was actually kinda terrifying. But regardless me and Elder Cook went out tracting cause that's whatcha do of course. Well we were having some of the best first contacts on doorsteps that day, no one wanted to meet again but everyone was listening which was just awesome. We'll we knocked on this door of a fellow named Ethan, introduced ourselves and asked if he'd like to hear our message...he said "Sure" and as it seems to do quite a bit my brain turned off...but it turned back on pretty quick and we talked with him about the restoration and how we have a prophet on the earth today and we asked well could we come back and share some more with you, and he was like "yeah sure" and so we got his number gave him a pamphlet and plan on going over on Saturday!

Miracle in the Cold:
On Sunday it was so freaking COLD 🥶 and not only was it cold but it was humid...and that makes it so much worse! But me and Elder Cook were out tracting regardless because the Lords work stops for no man! So we went and knocked on this one door and this young couple answered and we talked with them for a while about prophets and the Restoration and we asked if we could come back and they said yeah for sure! So we got there number and plan on going over on Sunday! Pretty awesome!

Scripture of the Week:
Ok not so much a Scripture but it's from a confrence talk, but here it is:
"My dear associates in the work of the Lord, I implore each of us to prayerfully study and ponder the Book of Mormon each day. As we do so, we will be in a position to hear the voice of the Spirit, to resist temptation, to overcome doubt and fear, and to receive heaven’s help in our lives" (The Power of the Book of Mormon).
I love this quote so much because I know the Book of Mormon is so so important and can help us so much! I invite you all to begin making time to read it everyday and I promise you'll begin to see the blessings from it! The Book of Mormon is truly amazing!

Unfortunately we haven't been able to meet with many of the people we've been teaching because a lot of them our out of town for New Years/Christmas. So no updates about people we've been teaching but hopefully I'll have more to report next week! But anyways I love you all tons! Keep going and remember I'm cheering you all on!!
